On August 29, 2026. upon an invitation extended by the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Bangladesh, His Excellency Dr. Rahimi Jahanabad, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bangladesh, attended the diplomatic ceremony commemorating the 81st National Day of Vietnam.

Dr. Rahimi Jahanabad previously served as the Chairman of the Iran-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group during the 11th term of the Islamic Consultative Assembly for four years, during which he paid two official visits to Vietnam. During their meeting at the reception, the Vietnamese Ambassador characterized the friendly ties between the two nations as a source of pride, describing the bilateral relations as valuable, historical, and enduring.
