On August 29, 2026. upon an invitation extended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Bangladesh, His Excellency Dr. Rahimi Jahanabad, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bangladesh, attended the diplomatic reception commemorating the Victory Day (National Day) of Türkiye.

During the event, the Iranian Ambassador extended his warm congratulations to his Turkish counterpart and held discussions with several attending ambassadors and dignitaries.

On the sidelines of the reception, His Excellency Dr. Rahimi Jahanabad met with the Ambassador of Nepal, conveying the heartfelt condolences and sympathy of the government and people of Iran to the government and people of Nepal following the devastating floods in their country. Furthermore, in a meeting with the Defense Advisor to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, views were exchanged regarding potential avenues for bilateral cooperation.
