On September 2, 2026, His Excellency Dr. Rahimi Jahanabadi, the Honorable Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bangladesh, met and held discussions with His Excellency Humayun Kabir, Foreign Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Government of Bangladesh, as part of ongoing efforts to expand bilateral political, economic, and cultural relations between Iran and Bangladesh. During this meeting, both sides exchanged views on a range of matters of mutual interest aimed at enhancing bilateral ties and regional cooperation.
